Making his mark as an expert in improvisational comedy, an active member of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater and instructor at New York City’s annoyance theater, Christian Capozzoli has also ventured into the world of literature by writing his own book titled ‘The Aerodynamics of Yes’. Christian Capozzoli’s childhood hobby involved storytelling as well as film but the academic path that he took gave him a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing. But his passion for theatre and film was discovered only in his late twenties when he happen to stumble upon improvisation at Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater.
What Christian Capozzoli Aims for His Students
The main goal that Christian Capozzoli has for his students is to be able to effectively provide them with proper improvisation education. Christian Capozzoli has spent a great deal of time travelling from one city to the next, all over the globe and has thus met with incredible performers, instructors, improvisers and educators from all walks of life. These people were able to impart their style, knowledge and wisdom through workshops, classrooms, intensives and symposiums which totally renewed the way Christian Capozzoli teaches. As he stated in the aforementioned book that he published, they not only have a responsibility to their audience but also to the art form itself.
Christian Capozzoli strives his best to lead improvisation in different directions, he hopes that it would be a part of discovering a brand new form of cubism and implement techniques from different parts of the world to make sure that it’s exposed to varying points of view. By studying and learning under such a technique, a student becomes spheroidal performers that smoothly improvises in any and all direction that listens and celebrates every characters on the scene; the audience will be able to see the confidence that they exude.
